HLS Payment Details

V-2007

Hi all:

Has anyone seen Harvard's payment details for application fee? Interestingly enough, they do not accept cards! I would like to pay via money order. Any information would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

V, yes they don't accept cards. As far as I know payments via money order is not possible for example from Russia.
I paid via travellers checks, again I rely on the expetience of those already admitted.

Thanks, Alexei. But I was told at the bank that the minimum nominal value of a TCh is $100 whereas HLS requires only $70 fee. Shall I check with another bank or just donate $30 to Harvard?))

I submitted a regular cheque. Any big bank should have enough international connections to be able to write a cheque with Bank of America, for instance. Every Finnish bank had that service. And you can nominate it to any value.

Right! This is my understanding as well. But what are HLS payment details. Seems like they did not post them on their website, did they?

All:

I got very little feedback(( Did anyone pay to HLS via money transfer??? What are their details. The HLS itself ignores e-mails and phone calls.

Another question - how to pay with travelers checks? Do you have to put two signatures at once? or just one and they indorse it?

Please.

I'm not sure how you could have missed this, but it's in the Application instructions.

An application fee of US$70, in the form of a money order or a check drawn on a bank with a U.S. branch indicated on the check and made out to Harvard Law School, must accompany each application. Be sure your name is referenced on the face of the check to ensure proper credit. Payments can also be made by U.S. dollar-denominated travelers checks, but not by credit card. The application fee is non-refundable and will not be credited to tuition if you are admitted.

If your application fee will be paid by a sponsoring organization (e.g., IIE, government agency, etc.), please provide a note to that effect with your application.

rfcisfun4me! Of course, I have read these instructions numerous times. The problem is that I have to indicate Harvard's bank account number and other payment details....

Uppss! While drafting the reply I received a response from HLS indicating the bank details. Anyone interested could write me at: via_2005@mail.ru.

Hi all...

On the payment front, was wondering if a "demand draft" is = money order in the US sense of the word... anyone familiar with the concept of a "demand draft"? Thats what I sent with my application (it was denominated in US $ so it was a "foreign exchange draft" drawn on a bank having US branches)... hope they tk it... I will sleep better if someone can tell me its not just money down the drain.

Also, does HLS send any email confirmation of receipt of completed application, aside from the post card (which will possibly arrive a month down the line) for which they had asked address labels to be provided by applicants...
