Hi, im from Argentina. Im planing to apply for some LLM that ask me to do it through the LSAC site.
Im have all my academics pappers being tranlsated by a local Public TRanslator. Can anyone help me with this questions:
1) After that, can i send them to LSAC with the rest of documents or the traductor must do it?
2) Who must send the LORS?
3) Can i send all together in the same envelope?
Any help / experience?
thanks a lot

You have all the information in the LSAC website, so I don't understand the reason for posting this. However, I will help you with it:
1. From LSAC site:
"An English translation is required for all transcripts, mark sheets, and related education records for education completed outside of the United States. The translation need not be certified. Anyone may do the translating, as long as it is a literal translation. It may be sent under separate cover, and it need not come from the institution providing the transcript. It is your responsibility to provide us with the English translation. LSAC does not offer a translation service. If you have no copy of the transcript from which to produce the English translation, we suggest that you order two originals from your institutionone to be sent to LSAC, and one for you to use as a reference for the English translation."
2. Your recommender will have to send the LOR to LSAC with the accompanying form that you will get when you register to LSAC and register a recommender within the LOR section.
3. I don't think so. The transcripts have to be in a university sealed envelope, while LORs have to be in separate envelopes. You can send LSAC an e-mail and they can help you further LLMINFO@lsac.org

Thanks for your answer. I dont know where you came from but here in Argentina point 3 is an IMPOSIBLE thing to do because Universities dont send documentation anywhere...thats the main reason of my post.
I saw 2 different traductors and both give me differents opinions about that...so i dont think theres no point in posting mi question...at least for me
Thanks anyways

Hey.. Re point 3, the transcripts need not necessarily be in a university sealed envelope. I got mine from the uni and dispatched them myself in a plain envelope.

Here in Brazil they dont either! But i asked someone at the university to seal the envelope with the transcript and the translation in it and then i mailed it to lsac. Lsacs instructions are pretty clear and, if you still have any doubt, i believe you should give them a call. I dont see how an aswer from your translators on this matter iuld be reliable. lsac is pretty used to every kind of problems there may be in each country.actually, your uni should also be used to this kind of request...
One last wuestion : do you still have time to apply for 2013?
