I have spoken to Harvard (and must add, they were incredibly annoyed to receive my call) and was told that:
1. decisions will not be fianlised untill 25 May; and
2. letters will be sent out the following week (via post NOT email).
Therefore, not to fret...those who state they received acceptance or rejection letter would not, accordingly, appear to be completely honest!

Did u mean 25th MAY or MARCH???? it can´t take so long!!!

I am quite certain those who claimed they received a Harvard admission offer at his stage are completely full of sh**. All offers are mailed at the same time; this policy has been in effect since 1936 according to the person I spoke with yesterday. I think some people on this board are perfecting their lying skills for when they actually become lawyers.

Hi,
Waw, there has been a lot of activity on this topic since yesterday.
I would not say that the people who claim to have been accepted are lying, but, honestly, I would be happy if it is really the case !
I think it's more fair to everybody if we all receive letters at the same time !
Then I would like to know if you really meant may or if it is MARCH ????
Bye and thank you all for sharing your latest info !

Sorry-I did mean 25 March...

Joi229-were they nice when you called/did they ask your name?
Posted Mar 18, 2005 12:45
I don't understand why most of law schools don't provide online 'application status check' like Cornell or even inform the applicants both via email and traditional letter like UMich, Columbia, etc.
I personally believe that, if carefully prorcessing, email is more reliable and of course faster in all aspects.

They were ok with me; I spoke with a woman first then a man. He did not ask for my name.
Posted Mar 18, 2005 16:01
Thanks for your reply! Some guy asked my name. Any idea what that might suggest? Hope it's not bad!?

No acceptance letters to be sent out until March 25? Some people on this thread are obviously lying, then, and wasting their own and everyone else's time.
While I'm perfectly open to being corrected, I just wonder whether it is worth attributing any credibility to some posters here. So, Douche, you post on a website that you used a "homemade" translation and an essay editing service for your application. Such flawless integrity would, no doubt, delight any admissions panel. Alongside your gleeful statement of how disingenuous you are is a rather fetching photo of you. Hope Harvard doesn't see that. I suppose there can't be that many people from Mali getting accepted either, so that would make your unique spin on the truth eminently discoverable to the people who admitted you. Either you are full of sh** and never got in, or are very very unintelligent for rendering your fraud so discoverable (such intelligence will shine through at Harvard).
It looks to me from this site and from what I've heard about admissions that 25 March is the big day. Best of luck to everyone who's *actually* waiting for a letter.

Hi!
mexllm and wannadmit:
Did you receive an e-mail from de Comittee on General Scholarships informing about the grants and loans offered by "Fundación Harvard en México"?
I got one on march 2, saying that the Comittee didn't have any information about the status of my application and that they only wanted to advise me of this fellowship opportunity.

Chris 111,I am with you on this.I had earlier thought something of douche bag but I have since changed my mind.
Posted Mar 19, 2005 03:49
I also received that email. I do not think it means we are admitted, just that we have the opportunity to receive a Loan from the Mexican Foundation if we get admitted.
Something strange happened to me today. I received an invitation to attend to a reunion in Mexico Coty for Chicago LLM admiited students, but I have not yet received admission from Chicago. What do you think that means?

Just wanted everyone to know that I got a rejection letter from Harvard for the LL.M. program today. It came in a thin envelope with a window pane opening - the kind that is sometimes used for invoices - and it was just one page, three paragraphs...
Anyway, at least the wait is over for me. Just thought you might like to know what the rejection letter "looks like" and perhaps the longer the interval before you hear, the better your chances are...
Best of luck to all!

In which country do you live Neptune?
Posted Mar 19, 2005 20:09
USA, zopie. The postmark was March 15, even though I didn't receive it 'til March 19.
Posted Mar 19, 2005 20:26
I am really sorry. Were you admitted somewhere else?
I have never hoped of being admitted to HLS but I am sure that once their admissions released, I will hopefully get an answer from the other universities I have applied to.

ok I think we should stop with this type of email and tell people that they full of s**...I also called the admin office and the man (Mr Gunsher) said that it is possible that some people received their answer before...why it is so incredible?
Posted Mar 21, 2005 16:27
zopie, Thanks for your sympathy. HLS is actually the only school I applied to, for reasons that are too boring and specific to me to include in a message board posting.
I have some great job prospects, and now I have the incentive to pursue them a little more enthusiastically! I was just feeling kinda "stuck" until I heard from Harvard. So - I'm disappointed, but undoubtedly I'll do just fine as I continue my legal career.

HLS application instructions for LL.M. program:
"Once the decisions have been reached, you will be notified promtly whether you have been admitted, denied, or placed on a waiting list..."
Next week we'll see. Best of luck to all fellow HLS applicants!
