Ok, so the trend I have seen on this forum so far is that a whole slew of acceptance emails were sent out early this week (Mon-Tues) and to a lesser extent last week. After that, I've seen mostly cases of people requesting an answer and getting a rejection email.
My simple question is this: is it safe to assume that if I have not yet heard from them at this point (5:45 pm on Wednesday, Boston time, i.e. close of business), I have been rejected and will eventually get a letter in the mail? Put another way, has anyone received an acceptance email received on Wednesday?
For those who were given an offer, were you given a deadline to accept? I realize very few people decline offers from HLS, but still, it would be helpful to know.
Thanks.
Harvard... is silence deadly?

The email just said we'd get the letter and other papers by Fedex in a couple of days and to email them if we had any questions...
I'd say email them or call them... It's nerve wracking, but knowing is always better than assuming. Good luck.

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I just don't like the idea of asking them and having them immediately respond and reject me. I'm one of those rare people who would rather just let it run its course.
Two follow up questions to my initial post: 1) did anyone receive an offer on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21ST? 2) has anyone received an UNPROMPTED rejection yet (i.e. without calling or emailing them yet)?
Thanks.

I agree...there is nothing to lose...just make that call!

I emailed a couple of days ago but still no response. I may have to call them today if I receive nothing.

Hi Senator I am in the same boat - I e-mailed them on March 19 (their time) and havent received any response. Please let me know in case you hear from them or decide to call them... I'll do the same. thanx

Thanks. I suspect that we might be on the "maybe" list...

I hope that is the case... but I keep thinking of the worst case scenario... but did u happen to mention yr other admissions (if so) in yr mail to HLS - I am thinking it may hv just put them off or something... but did you?

Actually I mentioned no such thing. I said no more or less than this:
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is X and I applied to pursue the LLM at Harvard during the academic year 2007-2008.
I understand that people have started receiving emails notifying them of whether they have received offers or not. Would you be in position to inform me of my application status please?
Yours faithfully,
X
Perhaps the wording kinda sucked but I was in a bit of a rush.

I will do. My only advice to you at this stage is try your best not to let it bog you down too much. Remember:
"Worrying is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere."

Yeah... thanx Some1 I know jus told me: "Why worry; whats the hurry?" so I am trying to detach my feelings from this process but tell u what this LLMGuide is pretty damn addictive... kudos to those who came up with it!

I e-mailed for my result and got my answer back in about 30 seconds. (I used the llmquery@law.harvard.edu e-mail).
My guess is, all of the admits were e-mailed, while none of the denies were.
At any rate, it seems all decisions are out. Call or e-mail them and you'll know the answer... but if you didn't already get an admit e-mail, you probably aren't in.

I emailed them on Monday but no response yet...I think I will muster up the courage to call today if I don't hear back soon.
Wish me luck!

I e-mailed them on Monday (the 19th) as well and have got no response - may be they lost the emails in the slew of emails which were exchanged that day - I think that was when they sent out a good no. of offers; anyway, BEST OF LUCK canuckgal but plz do put up a post here if u do decide to call. It will bevery useful for 1 and all. I just can t work up the courage to call them.. thanx:)

I got accepted to Harvard but my feeling is they havent finished the application process. I have not received an official letter or a deadline to accept; in fact I have no terms and conditions yet. I know it is hard, but I would give it a couple more days, silence is neither an acceptance or a rejection so I would definitely wait for a formal answer no assumption made !!!

I tried to call the office many times today but wasn't able to get through. I think there are a lot of folks calling to find out the status of their application. I also emailed them this morning at 9am Boston time, but still no response!
