Oldtimer has decided to go to Stanford?

Stanford its a great and extremely selective school congratulations! Admissions are sometimes a random process I think. Last thursday I got my rejection from LSE, thinking that if LSE rejected me I had no shot at Oxford or Harvard and on friday and today I received my admission notifications to each!

Hey guys,
As some of us have already asked, I would truly appreciate if you could share your credentials and what made your application special/distinct from the others.
Congrats and have a great year!

Those that didn't get in... Are you going to try re-applying? Do you have any ideas yet of how to change your app to stand out?

Hi for those who asked her's my profile and details of my aplications:
I'm from Venezuela, graduated in 2009, magna cum laude, 1 and a half wear of experience in an international law firm, toefl 111. Participated in UN Models and Moot Courts. No publications.
I concentrated my application on my leadership potential in helping to improve my country and did an piece of the violence and human rights situation on my country. I was recomended by a former teacher who is also the director of my law school, another law professor and a former supervisor and professor. Hope this helps. Congratulations to the ones admitted, and to those who didn't made, you all seem extremely qualified and deserving, sometimes the randomness plays in admissions.

Thank you for your responses! I may choose Yale over all the other law schools, although they are all great institutions.
I don't think my cv is outstanding either. I have no work experience. I've always been at one law school or another. But maybe my bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees have helped significantly in getting me into these universities. Several other things are worthmentioning as well. One is the TOEFL score. Another is my research proposals for Stanford and Harvard were well-done (I think). The third is letters of recommendation. Although I did not read them, I was told that they were strong and specific. The last factor, although I'm not sure whether it was relevant, is my personal story. I briefly described in my Harvard and Michigan applications my childhood as a poor peasant girl. But I don't think the last blessing factor can be "obtained" by most applicants through effort:)
