I am a foreign student with 2 years of my LLB remaining. I am hoping to apply for the Harvard LLM program after completing a few years of work experience as a lawyer in my home country. Does anyone know of any Harvard work experience preferences? Eg./Is it preferable to have experience working at a commercial firm as opposed to government departments, or NGOs?
Thank you!

Hey - I was admitted this year. My background is govt. From my interactions (aswell as general research on the admissions page which states their class profile) - Harvard takes folks from all backgrounds and it’s this diversity which makes the class cohort so unique.
Harvard was the only school I applied to because there were courses and professors whose classes I was keen to take (so as to enrich my knowledge). Keep this in mind when you apply in a few years as all Ivy League schools are renowned for different things and courses so make sure Harvard is truly the right fit for you.
