"17. ADMISSION DECISIONS
Most admission decisions for LL.M. applicants will be made by late March.
If you are facing a deadline for acceptance from another school, you may contact the Graduate Program office and we will do our best to give you an indication of your status where available. Once the decisions have been reached, you will be notified promptly and will be able to log in to a password-protected site to check whether you have been admitted, denied, or placed on a waiting list. Applicants on the waiting list may not know the final result of their applications until June or later. To protect the confidentiality of applications, we do not release any information on an application decision to anyone other than the applicant."
So I really don´t think it's gonna be soon, we are gonna have to wait at least 25 days! haha.

Thank you for posting this information. Keep in mind that the statement says decisions "will be made BY late March." Late March, then, is the latest that decisions will be issued, not necessarily the earliest. I still believe decisions will not be forthcoming for at least 2 weeks, 3 at the most, unless you have a valid reason to request expedited consideration.

Harvard just denied my request to expedite my decision. They want me to wait till the results are officially declared. They of course say that if Boston doesn't delay my deposit deadline then maybe i should consider not losing the opportunity. Am i now supposed to consider that there is no way in hell that i m getting into Harvard...
Posted Mar 01, 2010 20:53
And when exactly are they going to declare the result? :( I am checking my inbox every 10 minute.
Don't worry. You may have to ask for an extension of deadline for Boston I think.

Lawyer Fox,
It's pretty arrogant to presume that individuals such as myself or anyone else posting on this board in an effort to obtain information are "looser." First, comments that don't add to the discourse are irrelevant, and yours falls under that category. Second, please learn to spell correctly. Third, your hypothetical musings about admissions are no more authoritative than forecasting the weather.
The people who post on this site are seeking real, tangible information, not your arbitrary and blind admissions adjudications. If you are so omniscient, then your skills would be put to better use than opining on this site.

The fact that you joined this site just yesterday indicates that your intention here is to heckle, not provide anything of value to the community. While I wish you the best in your endeavor, kindly choose another thread in which to do it. This one is for serious applicants.

I sometimes wonder if bashing others becase they share their thoughts, fears and ideas with others is deemed to be an act of ignorance or if it's just an act of poorness...nobody forces anybody to read, write or do anything else in here...I hope that most of the lawyers in here accept this as part of the freedom of speech...for the rest: better do not throw stones while you're sitting in a house of glas...

I absolutely agree. The whole point of this board is to be able to share our expectations, doubts and why not, fears. We are all going through the same thing.
Speaking of which, I have to say it totally stresses me out that my application status hasn't changed since November!
If they haven't even reviewed my documents to this date, I think it is so absurd they will just take a look at them and decide in 15 minutes something that was sent to them almost 4 months ago. I thought they took 4 months to decide because they looked at your docs like 5 times before making a decision. But I think this means they haven't even touched them. :(
Well, there is no option but to keep waiting.

Apparently the "received" status will not change to "complete," despite the fact that the option is available and was demonstrated to me. We'll never know what the process is--they could take 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days. Just have to wait it out.

Although I am also new in this board, I definitely agree with you guys. The quid here is to take advantage of different sources of information coming from different people who is living a similar experience. This, of course, should include not only the objective and factual information, but especially the subjective approach. My advice therefore; do not take it personal and enjoy the whole experience of being in a rollercoaster of emotions in which some are afraid of the results while others start expressing their fear in other ways. So, cool guys and good luck to everybody!
By the way, I just called today and spoke with a very nice lady. Right now they are reviewing in great detail our applications. Decisions will be made in the next few days, but they will communicate such decisions after spring break, First decisions will be released on Monday March 22nd.

They committed to an actual date when you called? I speculated that the 22nd is the first date in a prior post, but they confirmed this?

I know this for sure. It's all I can say. Admission letters from March 22nd to March 30th. FAP Financial Aid Package from April 5th to April 15th. Some letters may take a few days more depending on where are you located. This is how it works, and this is how it has been working in the last years. Dates may change a little bit each year because of the spring break dates may also change. Of course I can miss a couple days, but there is no speculation on this.
Though if you need more specific information (dates, waiting list, etc) I suggest you to call and ask them directly. There are very nice people working there. Just be concise. They are really busy now, and it might take you hours before you can communicate with them...Good luck. Hope this might help.
