Harvard Acceptance

Hi all!

I have applied to Harvard LLM, and was wondering when I am likely to hear! My friend applied two years ago and told me that then the system was: those that got in got an e-mail in january, those that didnt got a letter like 6 weeks later..Can anyone tell me if that is still the case?!

Cheers!

Usually Havard releases acceptance/rejection intel by the of March.
Guess you're going to have to wait a bit longer...

In the "Instructions" section of the on-line application form, under item 17 entitled 'admission decisions', it states that:

'Most admission decisions for LL.M. applicants will be made by late March.

If you are facing a deadline for acceptance from another school, you may contact the Graduate Program office and we will do our best to give you an indication of your status where available. Once the decisions have been reached, you will be notified promptly and will be able to log in to a password-protected site to check whether you have been admitted, denied, or placed on a waiting list. Applicants on the waiting list may not know the final result of their applications until May or later. To protect the confidentiality of applications, we do not release any information on an application decision to anyone other than the applicant.'

Note the use of the word 'most'. To me, this seems to suggest that the majority of students do find out in late March. However, for a small number of applicants, Harvard may issue an earlier decision in extenuating circumstances, such as an impending deadline by another school.

Curious thing: CLS early admitted applicants have until March, 22 to make the initial tuition deposit, which is regard as being the very date when HLS releases its answers.

Harvard should release on March 21st around 5PM (Boston time).

Indeed, they seem to always release the decisions on the third Monday of March.
