GLS ADMITTED STUDENT WEBSITE

Fellows, I've been able to access Columbia's admitted student website. I have not yet been admitted but I could see passwords for housing, handbooks, academic schedules 2007-08...perhaps I've been admitted without knowing.

Mate, I'm still cracking up over it! I haven't used any passwords. All I did was to click on the Admitted JSD and LL.M part of the site.

The info is amazing. They even have lists of current LL.M students that are willing to assist those admitted, they have some guys called senators and letters from the career service and passwords for visas, housing application and the lot. I can also tell you that they have Chief Justice Roberts coming to see them I think in March 08 (this is from the 07-08 schedule)...too many wonderful things they do over there mate and I hope that we both get in to enjoy these things.

If you want any info I can gather from this site, let me know as I don't intend to switch off my computer forever or until I get admitted.

Is the password and the login the stuff that you got from the GLS Binder :) just curious, because I have been able to log in thru that but cant see any information relevant about me.

i think this appears to be a technical error and we shouldnt read too much in it

This maybe a false dawn, as a friend just phoned to tell me the same news. Yes, the password was from some of the documents and was impersonal.

Just to say the password for the sites for housing, visa and course schedules were obtained from documents on the admitted student website...not the one to access that site. That as I said was simply made through clicking on the Admitted student button.

Guys,

I'd hate to disappoint you, but the fact that you are able to log into the admitted students section of the web-site should not mean anything; it's probably a bug in Columbia's system.

I was admitted through early review in December, and they did send a new password for this section, and the password looks as if they sent the same one to everybody.

Since CLS notifies admitted students by e-mail, it does not appear likely that anybody would get admitted "without knowing"...
