Fordhams vs Vanderbilt

Hi. I was accepted to both, Fordham and Vanderbilt, and I was wondering which one is best?
I think that the usnews rankings provides very good information but I just wanted to hear from people that are in the same situation, which one to choose?

Thanks.

I dont know much about Fordham...but you can read the realier post like Admitted to Vanderbilt and Recd Fed-ex notification form Vanderbilt......some present students have given their views on the school. May be that can help you make a decision.

All the best!

I understand your indecisiveness in chosing the schools. I earlier suggested you to got to the other posts on Vandy to have some idea.

However, I would also like to share with you that after communicating with some of the ex as well as present students of Vandy I am convinced that its a very good school and therefore i have finally accepted my offer.

Also remember, that they have very few seats for LLM which means that every LLM student gets a lot of attention and almost 90% of their students are considered for scholarship.

Further, I was told by the ppl that their administrative staff is very helpful and efficient and trust me they are! Their responses been very promt with all my queries.

Hope this helps you to make your decision.

FWIW one of my best friends from Kazakhstan came to Vandy for his llm before going to U-Mich for a JD (he is a 3l now). Once a year he and several other LLMs from his particular class come back to visit the campus and meet with/go to lunch with some of the administrative staff.

While the administrative people have always been very friendly towards me as a JD, I think they take extra care of the LLMs from foreign countries to make sure they integrate well and get things going.

Plus there is an apartment complex right across the street from the law school that most llms stay in that is, I think (can't remember exactly), reasonable in cost.

AND, you are across the street from the best pizza place IN THE WORLD, Mellow Mushroom.

How could you go anywhere but?

Lol @ suburban. We have buses and an international airport. No cows in the street or anything. Why, we even have a few homeless people!
