I found this forum whilst searching for funding/financial aid resources.
Can any body help me with respect of resources relating to funding for forein students? I am from Costa Rica, got admitted in UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, and Miami; but neither has provided tuition waiver or aid.
If cannot get funding my only option is to hyphotecate my apartment, which could provide with US 65k, but it is not something i want to do as first option.
PLEASE HELP!!! (any ideas regarding student loans or other programs are apreciated).

Your best chance is to defer admision for next year and get ready to apply to scholarships this year. That means, NOW, because you need to apply very early in the year!. Since you are a tico, you qualify to get an interest free loan with the OAS. It's "only" 15K, but much better than the rate you are likely to get in a private loan in your country.
I hope that helps!
Edit: Ooop! I just noted this post was from last year! I hope you managed to sort out the issue. ;)
