If you have not considered applying to Vanderbilt Law School, you should do so. I am a current LL.M. student at Vanderbilt and I absolutely love it. We are only 18 students, and because of that we receive personal attention from the faculty all the time. We can choose from all the courses of the J.D. students. The application deadline is March 31.
There are substantial merit based scholarships available. I know that a lot of students receive financial aid, and European students often get merit scholarships. Vandy also participates in the NYU J o b Fair in January, which is very important to attend if you want to find work in the United States. The campus is gorgeous. As a whole, everyone at the law school is very friendly and helpful.
The graduates from Vandy are also highly regarded by the law firms. Vanderbilt is a top ranked law school (# 17 by US News & World Reports. The international program is ranked # 13.). I strongly recommend Vandy, so if you want more information or have questions, please send me a personal message.

Hi there. My name is Lily and I am from Brazil. Thinking about taking the LLM. Not sure yet cause I don't know how intensive it is. I work and cannot afford not to. that means I could only do this if it is at night. Also, I would need a grant/scholarship. Married with 2 kids. I graduated in Sao Paulo in 2000 and passed my bar exam there in 2002. Right now I work at a law firm but not doing what I really want...Any advice ? tks. Lily Haley

Dear friend,
I have applied to Vanderbilt for LLM-Fall 2008 and have received application complete about 10 days back. Please let me know about the following:
Is there any telephone interview and if so what are the proposed questions?
How long they would take to say about admission decisions.
Shall be grateful to your early response.
Sincerely yours,
Madhu
