Up until now, i have been admitted to Duke USC and BU..
I need to drop one of them by next week. Also i am still waiting from Northwestern, UVA, and Georgetown.
So, which any of them is the "best"? Appreciate your reasoning as well.
Cheers,

Duke. But you can use your admission to the latter to leverage/negotiate with both USC and BU. Best case scenario, you get a partial merit-based scholarship to cut tuitions

hi Stagista,
thanks for your input.
FYI,
Duke: i believe Duke's credential is the best among those 3, however, i am a bit concern with the location, Durnham.
USC: i heard great things about the USC alumni community (networking) moreover, L.A is a great city. Cons. only ranked 18 (on usnews - yeah i know it applies to J.D program only)
BU: Understand, the banking and finance program of BU is good, additionally it is located in Boston (great city btw!), and they offer me 10k usd scholarship. Cons: rank is the lowest among those 3.
Any other opinion?

as a (former) foreign lawyer myself, I strongly encourage you to think more about how to 'sell' your LLM experience back home rather than expectating to find a job in the US... Duke is a powerful brand, USC has a strong alumni network (especially in East and South East Asia), BU is a good school... as I previously mentioned, get in touch with USC and BU and try to negotiate a scholarship...

I was talking to a Duke graduate yesterday at lunch, and his thoughts on Durham were very negative... I've to say I've never been there... just a fair disclaimer

Does USC has strong connections with organisations to help them with employment?
I have been admitted to USC and AU WCL, and in a fix because AU has strong connections and it is in DC. Whereas, USC has high ranking.

Unlike other LLMs, BU's LLM in Banking and Financial law distinguishes itself for being specifically tailored for the needs of those practitioners with prior experience in the subject, wishing to acquire further training, or even for those looking to initiate a career in the financial services industry. The program offers a great array of different courses in the field, in areas such as securities laws, insurance regulation, compliance, hedge funds, Banking regulation, central banks, mergers and acquisitions, among others. The fact that BU's campus is located in Boston facilitates networking and even accessing to internship or job opportunities in one US largest financial districts.
