Still waiting, anxiously. By the by, does anyone know the size of the LLM class for a given year at Columbia? Also, can anyone confirm whether Columbia is relatively generous in waiving partial tuition fees for LLM students? Thanks

Hi! I was admitted to Columbia, letter dated end of January, and with a generous offer of financial aid, near to half tuition waiver.
Posted Mar 04, 2005 22:52
Congratulations, Sonya!
With financial aid makes it even better. Good job!

Congratulations Sonya! Columbia is the creme de la creme! You must be quite a candidate to also receive financial aid. I am still waiting for a reply. Did Columbia just send you just a letter or was it a whole package with pamphlets etc.?

Congratulations!
I can't wait to get their answer.. Did you only get a letter or did you first receive an e-mail?
Does anyone know the actual number of admitted LLM students at Columbia?

Hi guys, thanks a lot for your kind replies, I didn´t get an e-mail, I got a letter (small envelope) and in the letter it said I was admitted, with a partial tuition waiver, and that they would soon mail me materials with information about the law school, the LLM Program, housing, etc. I wish you all very good luck and hope that maybe we can be classmates!

Thank you very much for the info Sonya. I hope to see you in NYC this Fall =-)

I got an email from Columbia last Monday saying I was admitted. And a formal letter will be sent out to me. Haven't heard anything from other schools: HLS, NYU, Upenn, Cornell and Duke...Columbia is my first choice anyway.
Anyone going there?

Congrats to those admitted to Columbia. Like sage, I have not heard anything from Columbia yet. So far, it seems those who got responses are from overseas. Is that the case with you Maggie? I am from British Columbia, Canada.

I am from Beijing, China originally, but working with a law firm in Hong Kong now.
Don't know whether nationality is a factor. But good luck on your application.

Hi! So you applied for the LLM from Beijing or from HK?

Congratulations to all those admitted to Columbia! I am really jealous!

Approximately 200 students
Posted Mar 07, 2005 20:56
Thanks sage!
200 is a lot of students. I didn't think the program was that big.. Well, probably it's kind of an advantage, considering the fact that I have not yet recieved a response from them ;-)
I have a friend back here in Belgium who got an offer last week. So I'm probably not in, but I still hope..

probably they are waiting for those who were admitted to turn down the offer then send out the second batch...I asked them about financial assistant and they told me it will be decided in the next several weeks. but obviously someone has received financial assistant...there is still hope. keep your chin up!

Has anyone from North America received either an acceptance or rejection letter from Columbia? It is the last school I'm waiting a response from.

Paraphrasing damian has anyone outside North America heard from Columbia. Stupid Indian postal service takes forever to deliver.
