Me too. I've also been admitted to both, and I'm choosing UChicago over Columbia. Columbia is a great school but UChicago has way better rankings, better faculty, better admission scores, better employment scores, better reputation and a smaller community.

I received an email saying I've been placed in the Reserve Program. Anybody else on Reserve for Columbia?
Any idea if people ever get in off the Reserve list, or if there's no point in hoping?

Well, there are several reasons - the ability to take classes at UChicago Booth (my main focus is business and economics); the class size; the rankings; Prof. Posner; the city (more affordable and better overall); quarter system (allows me to take more classes; etc... As of now, it's the perfect match for me. Hope this helps.

I enquired of CLS for this and was informed that the decision on scholarship will be released within this week via email.

It was stated that:
“Financial Aid Decisions &; Financing Your LL.M. Degree Webinar. If you applied for merit-based financial aid, decisions will be released this week ahead of our “Financing Your LL.M. Degree” session on Thursday.”
If my understanding is correct, merit-based scholarship applications should be released on or before Thursday. Hope this helps.
