Careers in tax

taxnewb

Hi,

I am a 2L law student at a top 30 school in California. I have been thinking of pursuing a career in tax, at a private firm (not big 4). I was wondering if anyone knew about the career prospects of a tax attorneys. Is the pay commensurate to say corporate lawyers? I've been hearing rumors that the number of billable hours for tax attorneys are lower than others lawyers, is this true?

If anyone could tell me some advice/clues I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
-B

I'm not in the US and I don't know much about tax either, so I cannot really help you with this. However, I know that there are some tax experts in this board; I would just PM them. You can find some of them here: http://www.llm-guide.com/board/16756
