Dear All,
I submitted application to the following universities:
Harvard
NYU
Columbia
Stanford
Berkeley
Yale
I have been rejected to almost all of them :-(
I think the main problem could be my age, 34. I am an Italian lawyer, I work for an international law firm, I have strong working credentials.
Given that I'd love to pursue an LLM program I was thinking about submitting an application to the Boston Law School. The deadline is April 15.
I see that AUAP top LLM ranking list says BU is at the 7th place. What do you think about this university and its LLM program in American Law?
Many thanks.
Boston University?

I'd go for it. But why do you think you age has something to do with the rejection?

BU's banking program is pretty popular with US attorneys in the east coast. And the class is mainly composed of practitioners from all over the world. Since you have fairly strong work crendentials. It would be a good choice for you to apply. The application process is very competitive in the late phase though( such as your case ). But it's worth for you to give it a shot.
FYI: Age will never be a problem in States. And you will never get a rejection from law schools because of your age. Under the US Constitution, if a law school dares to do so merely because you are elder, then that would constitute "age discrimination" . And Bam! The school will definitely get into a BIG BIG BIG trouble.

You might also want to consider the Fletcher School's LL.M. They have rolling admissions until early May, and it's a first-rate place to study international law.

Dear All,
thank you very much for your suggestions and comments.
I was worried about my age because I see that most of the LLM applicants are in their twenties.
Thanks again.

The average age at Fletcher is around 32-35, with a few quite a bit older.
