Berkeley is crazy Sent out admissions decisions last week now deadline to accept is 22 March! And matching scholarship "Decisions will be sent by March 22nd"

Ok, so Berkeley's WhatsApp group is closed for posting messages when people started discussing normal topics like how stupid it would be to pay 100k for Berkeley if you have other options.

Dear all, 

I  did not receive any email from Berkeley, but I checked my application status which says: "Your application has been placed on the waitlist, pending the results of our first round of admissions." I have clicked on the button saying that I am still interested, but I did not receive any confirmation email or the like. 

 The application status also does not reflect that I have now confirmed that I am still interested. I don't want to bother the admissions team with this technical issue :) Is it the same with you guys as well? Good luck to everyone!

Hi there, does anyone receive the hard copy of the admission letter from Berkeley? 

Would paying of the 1000usd non-refundable deposit and submitting of Statement of Intent to Register imply that I am bound to join Berkeley’s LLM program and cannot opt for any other college if need be?
