Hey guy, I’m in the third quartile so my chances are probably very slim but Berkeley is my dream school so I can’t help but check this blog everyday...

I’m wondering how many people are in each quartile....

Do you guys have any idea as to when they will inform us of our status if we are on the waitlist
I was hoping it was before the 1st of April, since we need to put in our admit to other colleges

Hi I got waitlisted as well, just received the email today. Placed in 3rd quartile. Please keep each other updated about the progress of our application. Good luck everyone!

UC berkeley also informed admitted people that the deadline of deposit is 1st April. So I guess we could get any type of notice after that.

Has any of you heard back re. the waitlist?

nope ! and you ? I saw that last year they said something in this dates like first of may. anyway did anyone heard something ?

I was placed in 1st quartile on 6th March. I have not heard from them since. I got offers from other schools and decided to drop Berkeley. However, out of curiosity, I sent them an email asking when I can receive their decision. They replied “You may hear back as late as July. We will e-mail you as soon as we have any update on your status.” Good luck to you all. Be patient. :)

Fyi, i was placed on the 3rd quartile.

I also received the admission email from Berkeley on 26th June, but it was late notice for me.

I will go UCLA.
