My thoughts exactly, estelm4! They sped up the admissions process and sent decisions out 2 months earlier than expected but maintained the exact same deposit deadline, which is weird. I'm gonna ask for an extension today.

I believe that an extension until at least the end of March would be most fair to all admitted students who are genuinely and rightfully expecting other colleges decisions to make their most informed choices.. I really hope that Berkeley understands it and grants the extension

Hi! I received an acceptance mail today!
I am also a little bit worried for the deadline for answering to the admission offer. I also applied to other programs and I wish to know about their answers before to make a decision.
On another subject, Does anyone know when Berkeley tells you if the admitted student is going to receive financial aid?
A final question: which sources of scholarships the admitted students have identified? We need to apply to them right now!

Hi guys,

I have been admitted to the Professional LLM (was notified yesterday) and I am quite undecided on what to do... I actually did not expect to get in any top universities as my grades in law school were pretty average, but I guess it is not that hard to be admitted to the Proffessional program compared to the Academic year... On the other hand, I worked really hard on my personal statement and have work experience, which might have helped me somehow.

Anyways, my point is that I am not sure if I will be admitted to any other program and am therefore afraid that if I say no to the summer LLM I will lose all my chances... I do like the program, it is not only a matter of accepting "just in case", but I am wondering if it is a good option.

Is any one else seriously considering enrollment? I would like to have an idea on your point of view!

Till when do u have to accept the offer? and also are u working? If u r, will u be able to make arrangemnts with your employer? And are you looking to work in the US post your LLM?

I never known if there is someone who has a low toefl score could get into top school. regardless of he/she has a strong academic or working experience.

But dont just take my words for it ...you might be the special one!

Same situation as me. Under review since 1/21/2013 and got no answer yet. Should I think I am lucky because I did not get rejected last Friday? haha

Mine is under review since Jan 21 as well, no decision yet. Since all applications are being reviewed at the same time, I guess they will send it this week :-)

Regarding the extension email, I am not sure if it's a good idea. I agree that with that request you could jeopardize your chances to scholarship. However, I understand that you need more time to make a decision (I am in the same case because I am waiting for NYU's answer); I would consider to write an email to the university which response you are waiting for, asking for a sooner notice of their decision.
