average grades = chance at LLM?

I will be graduating this September and was wondering what are my chances at an LLM program. Im ranked top half of my class (aka: average grades), but I do have a very extensive legal experiences. Im very interested in applying for a LLM in tax or real estate. But first, do I even stand a chance? Looks like all the LLM programs want top 20% of class and exceptional grades. Is it going to be a waste of my time to just get rejected from every program? Thanks.

You can certainly apply for an LLM and you will get possibilities. Just keep in mind that you might nog be accepted in T14 schools (even though it might be possible) and you should broaden the schools you apply to, to fe. T20-T30.
