Hi guys,

I'm a second year undergrad law student at Oxford (reading for the BA Jurisprudence) and I'm interested in applying for the Harvard LLM. I received a high 2.1 grade in my first year exams. I'm hopeful I can bump this up to a first class in my final examinations. Realistically though, I could still end up with a 2.1, although anything under that is highly improbable. I have done a few internships, including one with a human rights law group, and I'm involved in a few sports.

1. What are my chances if I were to graduate with a 1st class degree. And then compared with a high 2.1?
2. I've heard extra-curriculars make a big impact on US admissions, and so far, I don't think mine really stack up. What should I focus on or do to catch their attention?
3. I would like to go right after graduation, so I won't be applying with any work experience as a lawyer. Will this be a hurdle?
4. I'm actually an international student here and I hold citizenship in a fairly small country. Will this be a help or hindrance?

Much thanks to anyone who can answer my questions. Would especially love to hear from UK undergrads who are now at Harvard.
