I used this forum so many times, and although I never post, I feel obliged to everybody here for contributing from their own personal experience.

Anyway, I was admitted to the SPILS program. Notified by mail. No financial offer for the moment ("details will be sent later"). Reply date - somewhere in April.

Most importantly, there was no interview.


I hope this will help someone as some of the posts here helped me.

No news from IP applicants?

To the IP applicants, what did SLS send you in the past regarding e-mails and such ? Did SLS retrieve your LSAC reports?

I was admitted by mail on March 3rd to the LLM on Corporate Governance.
I'm still waiting for HLS, but I think I like the weather better in CA.
I think SLS is as good as HLS, and I like the idea of smaller classes. Any thoughts on that?

I have received a telephone interview last week but I amstill waiting for their decision. I applied for the LLM in Law, Sciences and technology.

I was a little bit disappointed because it was 09:00 PM (just after work), I wasn't in condition so I have just tried to do my best but I have no hope to be selected...

SLS is the most selective program, so nobody would have confidence. Let's have fingers crossed!

I was told that decison will be provided within one to two weeks. Is that the same to you?

I didn't apply to Stanford (I'm an American J.D. holder, thus ineligible), but I'm curious, exactly what purpose are these "candidate interviews" meant to serve? What kinds of questions were you asked?

From what I've been able to gather from the posts, the admission process at Stanford seems outlandishly tricky!

The lady on the phone told me that I would receive an answer within one week or two week but in any case before the end of March.

Hi all.... I have applied for LL.M. in Law, Science & Technology. I recently sent an e-mail to the SLS admission committee, requesting the status of application, as i had not heard from them since early Jan-08. In their reply dated March 18, 2008, they confirmed my TOEFL waiver and informed that the admission results shall be available by April 1, 2008. However, they did not mention anything regarding this tele-interview.

Is there anyone out there who has applied for the same LL.M program & is in the same situation as me? Do reply... Regards...

I have practiced IP law for nine years in China after graduation from Peking University law school. Rather too old in comparison with you all...

I plan to accept the offer. Wish to see some of you in Stanford!

I applied for Law, tech and science,too., and I didn't get a phone call. I sent e-mails to Stanford several times asking about my status and all they say is "Wait until April 1".Okay, I'm waiting. What can I do other than that? But this tedious admission process is really wearing me down. I'm a little angry to find out so many people are literally "suffering" as well. Stanford people!!Hurry up to make decisions!!

Congratulation! aliya! Two people from the same country seem exceptional, considering Stanford's small class size. Both of you should deserve that.
