There seems to be some really cheap accomodation around Austin (looking on Craigslist) but can anyone tell me if the cheap complexes - like Longhorn Landing or University Village - are as nice as they look, or are they usally the residence of roudy freshmen?
A free education in the UK was my time to party not one that I'm paying $50k for.
Anyone at or going to UTexas this Fall?

Got to study hard for this one as I want to apply for the JD there next year and have my LLM credits transferred to the JD. No parties, no rodeos and no trips to Mexico (though that's probably a good thing at the moment!)

Glad you decided to go to UT. You will need the LSAT as well to apply for the JD. Good luck with it!!!!
I might see you in Austin in a few years as I am planning to apply there for the LLM.!!!

I am in the Latin and International Law. Have you already got an apartment?

I think so. Webcamming the owners of a place tonight.
There's tons of apartments and houses on the internet (Craigslist) for anywhere between $400 and $800 per month and the UT shuttle service is supposed to be the biggest one in the US - and free to students.
If you like partying, Longhorn Landing and University Village look fantastic but make sure you look at the reviews.
