Tulane is undoubtedly a very good school in the South; I am admitted with a partial scholarship but may not be able to join this Fall. New Orleans is a wonderful place; wish you all the best.

I applied to the General LLM at Tulane, but my application was only complete 10 days ago. I haven't heard back yet. But it would be great to know if anyone else has heard from them!

I am wondering if there are lots of applicants or not this year. According to statistics (on their website), It seems that less and less people apply there . which is not a bad thing for us - in terms of chances to get in- except that their reputation is probably lower now- maybe due to the hurricane/desertion of some professors...? - ... well, please let me know if you hear from them! I'll do the same of course!

I have no idea whether things have changed with the American Business Law courses. I applied to Tulane for two very specific reasons - 1) I hope to be granted equivalency so I can write the Bar in Louisiana and 2) I want to work in criminal defense in New Orleans. The criminal law professors that are well-known in the area are still at Tulane. Anyway, it may be a while since I hear from them since I got an email yesterday saying there was an issue was a payment. I will let you know if anything new happens!

Congrats!!!
I just got an email yesterday saying they will be reviewing my application in a few days and getting back to me.
I hope you manage to get a loan. I lived in New Orleans until Decemeber and I can tell you that it's a much cheaper city to live in than most U.S. cities. Good luck!

Hey,
I would suggest reading some of the other threads on this website about job prospects for foreigners with an LLM. You may also want to call the woman at Tulane's Career Services who is in charge of helping LLM candidates find jobs. I don't recall her name, but you can find her contact information on the Tulane website for accepted students. She would probably have more valuable information for you.
Good luck!
