I'm from Indonesia. The main reason that I think I will not accept is because I no longer want to focus on energy law. When I first applied for LLM, I chose BU and BC because I wanted to study in Boston (the city is so apealing to me) and Tulane and UT because at first I wanted to study energy law. I was accepted in BC with a scholarship, so apart from no longer wanting to study energy and wanting to study in Boston, the scholarship was an important consideration. However, if you wish to focus on energy and environment I think UT would be an excellent choice! UT's rank is quite high. All the best to you!

Yup, i am particularly interested in specializing in energy laws. Since i haven't got any scholarships, i was wondering if this programme would be worth the money I would have to put in. Also, I have an offer from NYU.. Though ofcourse ranking and reputation wise NYU is several notches up...but cost of studying at NYU is really prohibitive.

I emailed them (UT) asking about scholarships and they said that (as stated in their website) all admitted students are considered. They will inform us the scholarship decisions before April 1. If you really want to specialize in energy law, I suggest that you go to UT. However, if energy law and money is not the issue, I would definitely go to NYU. good luck!

the tuition fees of UT increased? The university website states that the tuition fee is approximately USD38,000, whereas in the i20 the fee increased to USD44,800. I am wondering why this difference occurs...

The 38,000 figure is for the 2009-2010 academic year.

I wanted to think that UT would not raise the tuition so much but 6,000 is a stretch.

looks like the 44,800 is the fee for the 2010-2011. I wonder what is going to be for 2011-2012. Another 6,000 increase? We shall see

Have you guys enrolled for this fall?
It's quite a high increase..! (although If you compare with other schools, I think the price is "normal")

I think so. But I do think its too high.

With a tuition like that people will be even more determined to go to top 14 or top 10 schools and see that as more worthy investment than 45 (just for tuition) at Austin.

Yes. This increase is really something. The tuition fee of Stanford for the 2010-2011 is the year, USD44,880... This fee is really to high for UT!
