2 year JD at Buffalo

Niyati

Asking for a friend - they scored a 150 on their LSAT. While they're prepping to give it again, I wanted to know how is the law school at uni at buffalo? does it have a good reputation / programs for a 2 year accelerated JD?

Hi Niyati! Just to clarify, applicants to our Advanced Standing Two-Year JD Program are not required to take the LSAT.

Admission to the program is competitive and we enroll students that have excelled academically while completing their first degrees in law (LL.B.).  Many of our students enrolling have also earned an LL.M.  As a top 100 law school (U.S. News & World Report), UB is known for its high caliber legal education and research.  While the program only takes two years, our Two-Year JD students earn the same JD as our traditional Three-Year students.  Participants in the program are fully integrated into the JD class and they are generally expected to take the New York bar exam to become licensed to practice in New York.  We encourage you to visit our website to find out more about our program, and we are available to meet with you virtually if you have any questions! We welcome the opportunity to share more about the program and Buffalo, known as the "City of Good Neighbors."
