I wanted to know if it is necessary to send a writing sample with your lse application and if so.. does it have be a law related ne? or it can be any general article you have written.. I am applying tom, so reply by anyone wil really be appreciated..

For the LL.M. program, as I understood it the only "written work" required was the Personal Statement (2 pages-ish). I did not submit one and my application has been deemed complete and is under consideration.

As for the other masters programs as LSE and PhD program, if thats what you are interested in applying for then you need to submit a writing sample.

i submitted a personal statement to the lse, and i think it was crucial for winning admission. it's your only chance to tell them 'why you' and 'why at the lse'. i think it's worth doing, personally.

heyy.. by the writing sample i meant a writing sample /article apart from my SOP, coz the site says you upload a few in the documents section.

oooh, sorry for the confusion. yes i submitted writing samples too..but guess they're not essential...good luck!
