Sorry to bother you with these questions, but Ive got another thing Id like to ask you.
Whats the tuition fee for overseas students? When I look at Edinburghs website I see that for 2009/10 its 12,400 (or something like that), but when I saw the postgraduate prospectus it was 11,250 (or something like that). And now, in the postgraduate prospectus for 2010/11 theres a division based on bands (1, 2 and 3), but the prospectus doesnt say what band applies to each course.
I think that the LLM falls into band 1 (called classroom based programmes in the 2009/10 prospectus, but Im not sure). Its really confusing!!!
Ive sent an email to the university a while back, but I still havent heard from them, thats why Im asking you guys!
Once again, thanks for the help.
Who else is going to Edinburgh in 2009!!!

Hi Everybody,
Im from Poland and this September I start the LLM in Commercial Law at UoE as well! Im really happy about this and hope that we will have great time in Edinburgh! Im working on PhD at Warsaw Univeristy. I graduated in 2007. Currently, Im a junior associate at one of the international law firms and practice law as an attorney-in-law trainee.
Do you have any ideas how to find a roommate or/and accommodation? I dont have any ideas in this respect:( Many thanks for your hints!
All the best:),
Greg

Hi all,
I have now arrived in Edinburgh and although it is windy, I am loving it! I'm planning on arranging a drinks/dinner for new Edinburgh LLM students. It'll probably take place on the evening of Saturday 12th September.
Please private message me your email address if you are interested in coming along and I will send you details.
Take care & look forward to meeting you all soon,
Jonathan

Hi guys,
Fantastic to see such a diverse cultural mix coming to Edinburgh for the coming academic year. I'll be on the LL.M in Commercial Law programme. I've noted from the responses that many of you are already practicing (or are trainees); I on the other hand am a fresh-faced Scottish graduate going straight into postgraduate study!
Look forward to meeting you all; you'll love Edinburgh.
Cheers,
Craig

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the move to Edinburgh. As promised, I have arranged an informal dinner for Edinburgh LLM candidates. The gathering will take place this Saturday on 12th Sept 2009 starting at 6:30pm. I hope that you can make it. The Pink Olive is just 5 mins walk from the law school.
Venue:
Pink Olive

If you can no longer make it, please let me know as I have to let the restaurant know about numbers. Look forward to meeting you fellow LLM-Guide(ers)!
Best Regards,

Back to the post for a person looking for a place to live, there are several notices posted around the basement of the Old College, you can pop in and have a look.
Also, to all of you who are incoming, what your uni emails as we're organising a pubnight to begin on the 24th. Venue will be publicised by the Postgraduate Research Committee and sent out to all new LLMS. Hope to meet some of you there.
