hi there all
my name is farhan and i m from pakistan. just like every body else i am also very confused about what is the future after LLM from uk if u r an LLB from a differnt country, as in my case i m from Pakistan. so till now what i have understood is that there is alooot much difficulty in succeding as a solicitor in england. and even then if u want to start or shift ur career in england then here are some steps in case after ur LLM, which is not necessary but will do good.
steps are:
1: u did LLM from uk.
2:u cleared the QLTT.
3: u found a contract.
4: and after that u ll have to do the LPC which is a must for practicing as a solicitor.
note: i somewhere read in a blog that dont even attempt to do lpc unless u have a training contract.
so this is my view and i m totally confused but very enthusiastic about starting my career in england so plz help me out bcz this is the same problem that many others are concerned with.
thanks in advance
correct me if i m having a wrong perception and tell me what should i do. and one other thing i m thinking about doing LLM in corporate and comercial law from university of southampton. should i go here or at durham for international trade and comercial law or at nottingham for international comercial law?
plz help bcz i really dont want to waste my year here in Pakistan.
