USA human rights....post a view?

Wanted to hear some thoughts:

If someone specialised their legal education in civil and human rights what sorts of law firms should such an individual aim to apply to in usa?

Particularly, in international human rights or international criminal law? Are there law firms in the UK that practise such areas....such as in the UK where barristers chambers practise such areas.

Looking forward to getting some feedback.

Hope there is someone out there with some kind of knowledge, experience, intutition or educated guess on this.

Thanks.

RE UK position try looking in legal directories such as 'Legal 500' or Chambers. They list both law firms and barristers chambers by areas of expertise. When you look, think broadly. As well as looking up firms that specialise in human rights or civil liberties, and public international law, you might consider headings such as administrative law and immigration law. As an aside, public international law seems at the moment still to be mainly the preserve of barristers though this may of course change.
There will probably be equivalent directories with regard to the US.
