Im a government lawyer dealing with international criminal matters, though, Im relatively new in the path of my career. I will be pursuing my masters this year.

I have narrowed down my options to the LLM (Public International Law specialization) at UCL and the LLM (Adv.) in Public International Law International Criminal Law specialization at Leiden University.

Both are great offers.

The UCL law faculty has a great reputation, that goes without saying. And although the course wouldnt be as focused as the one at Leiden, it will allow me to choose from a vast range of subjects, and in a way, design the course according to my area of interest.

On the other hand, Ive heard many good things about the LLM (Adv) at Leiden. Leiden also has the advantage of being in close proximity to the international tribunals, and presumably the expertise, offering me a more practical approach to the learning experience.

Running out of time to choose! Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has specific comments about these two courses. Thanks!
