Another day gone uneventful?

And yet another... Hopefully, we'll hear something tomorrow!

Yup, still nothing!

I can't believe that they still haven't' made ANY offers (well, apart from one) yet!

If we're 1/3 of the way through February, at what point do we stray from "early February" to "mid February" or "late February"?

After all, MikeLJ's contact was told to expect offers in early February and time seems to be running out... either we can expect some offers in the next few days, or the "early February" timetable could be out the window.

This is all pretty worrying...what could possibly be taking so long? I have a feeling that this Friday - before the weekend - would be it? Any bets? :P

Today or tomorrow it will have to be - if they still intend to make decisions in e-a-r-l-y February... (though I wonder whether they would be making all decisions in early February or merely starting to make offers).

Anyway, I'm getting pretty excited about the prospect of my CAMsis status changing (after having logged on at least 1000 times since October...)

I'm not worried yet, just frustrated. I'll only be worried when we reach April and everyone on here has an offer but me!

One of my referees today asked if I'd heard anything and was horrified when I said no. He obviously thought that, almost three months after he wrote me a reference, I ought to have heard something and that the fact that I hadn't was some kind of reflection on his reference.

A friend of mine who was taken last year, but declined her place at Cambridge to go to Columbia says we shouldn't worry too much. She said they were awfully lame at Cambridge (she only got her college place in June for example), but in the end they'll send the offers....
So cheer up!!

June is quite late to hear about colleges. If faced with 1 April (or earlier) deadlines for US universities and one has an offer from Oxbridge but not a place at the college, then wouldn't one be inclined to opt for the former? Or can they expedite your college application in such circumstances?

Does anyone know if everyone who gets an offer always gets placed at a college, even if it's not their top or second choice?

"In practice all LL.M. students are admitted to a college, though they will not necessarily be given membership of one of their preferred colleges, in large part because a number of popular colleges are over-subscribed."

Hi Anneka,

Thanks for this. I read the instructions/FAQs such a long time ago, when I made my application, and subsequently forgot all the info contained in them..

Hey! Same here - it's certainly been a while since we handed in our applications... ;) Just remembered it said something about college membership.

I also read somewhere on this forum that it would still be possible to change our college preferences when we got an offer. I really am wondering whether I should reconsider, since I put in two pretty popular colleges as my preferences and have no idea what the chances are of getting in - but maybe I should not worry about this until I hear back from the admissions office...

Any news anyone?

It think, everybody gets a place in a college, they just put the information for the case "if".
Another friend of mine got accepted in Cambridge, but was then assigned to one of the females-only colleges, because she put two pretty popular colleges in her first choice (Trinity and ???). So in the end, she went to LSE, because she wouldn't spend a year among girls. That may also happen...
Maybe you should change your college choice into two less popular? They are assigned to three categories (A as the hardest to get into and C as not so popular), I put two colleges with a "B" in my choice
