Hi All,
I know this is a repetition of the topic but wanted to post this to receive suggestions from Alumni, present students of the colleges/universities and the other applicants.
I have secured a First Class (60.25%) in LL.B and I pursued my LL.B from Bangalore University (Bangalore, India). I also have 2 ½ years experience in the Insurance Sector. I have finished Intermediate in Company Secretaries Course and at present I am pursuing the Final Stage I which I have cleared 2 modules out of the 4.
I have applied in LSE, UCL, KCL, QMUL, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Durham and Birmingham. I have also applied in Southampton, Swansea, Bristol, City University London and London Metropolitan University for specialization in Maritime Laws.
As of now I have received a conditional offer from Aberdeen and rejection from UCL. I think the reason for rejection in UCL was that my referees kinda screwed up with the Online Reference Form as they are not tech savvy and I uploaded my SOP without reviewing it properly. For the other course I have sent good references and I feel that I have submitted good Personal Statement/SOP.
What I would like to know is how you would rank the university/colleges, based on your experience, where I have applied and what are the chances I have to get an offer from the above mentioned universities/colleges.
Also I would like know as to when I can hear from the universities. I have applied to all the LSE, UCL, KCL, QMUL, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Durham and Birmingham in the first week of December and in Southampton, Swansea, Bristol, City University London and London Metropolitan University yesterday.
Also, is there any possibility of getting an exemption from IELTS/TOEFL scores if I submit a medium of instruction certificate?
Thanking all in advance for their comments.

Hello,
What I would like to know is how you would rank the university/colleges, based on your experience, where I have applied and what are the chances I have to get an offer from the above mentioned universities/colleges.
I am afraid that my reply won't be overly helpful, but ranking those universities respectively the LLM programmes offered by them based on one's own experience is impossible. In the end any ranking attempt would mostly be based on hear-say enriched with the personal experience of one (maybe two, but certainly not all) LLM programme.
Furthermore giving sound advice is impossible, unless you provide any details regarding the desired outcome of obtaining an LLM degree. If you want a shiny-looking business card, just aim as high on the prestige-ladder as you can and forget about the maritime law...
If you want to pursue a career in the shipping business, following a different strategy might (or might not - this subject is open to debate) be sensible...
