Has anyone ever applied to SOAS Centre of Financial Management to do MSc in Finance and Financial Law? I have applied but awaiting offer.
From the website i gather that the course is heavily concentrated on finance. I am leaning towards a career in international law firms or banks and financial institutions. I wonder if this course is helpful?
Thanks

Hy
I searched the same info like you because I liked the SOAS MSc Finance courses.
I did't find anything about the reputation of this program so I decided that the reputation of the School counts more than the content of the program.
So, go better to an International Finance LLM at KCL/LSE (or similar), they're better known.

correct me if i'm wrong.
But Msc Law programmes tend to be viewed as 2nd rate to full LLM programmes?
I derive my conclusions from the fact that usual applicants to LSE's LLM programme place as 2nd choice their Msc Law and Accounting programme.
The former, obviously, has more stringent admission requirements.
But of course this is a myopic view of things?

I don't know what to say
A LLM degree is more known, this is certain.
However, you have just 4 subjects in a LLM while about 8 finance-oriented subjects in the MSc. I would prefer the Msc courses, but I there are no info about the SOAS Msc reputation.
