References - KCL, UCL and QMUL

Hi there,

I was hoping to get some input from prospective applicants for KCL, UCL and QMUL.

How strict are these universities on getting two academic references?

I graduated from my undergrad in 2008 and I have been able to obtain one academic reference but I would much prefer getting my 2nd reference from my employers. I can get a reference from the Director of a company where I worked as in-house lawyer and a Partner at my current law firm.

Do you think that these universities would reject my application because I didn't provide a 2nd academic reference?

Cheers

I don't think they'd reject you only 'cause you didn't provide two academic references.... but, nonetheless, I'd still recommend sending in two academic reference. Leave the professional reference as a third reference... even though they don't ask for one, I sent in three references and got into KCL, UCL and QM.

Good luck!

If they ask for two send two. Do not overload the admissions with extra references. if you have two strong academic references you are in a good position to be admitted.
