As some of the regular correspondents on this site know as a result of drinking a lot of coffee in various law firms last year I secured four law firm internships for the 2006/2007 International Commercial Law Internships.

These internships are competitive eg high marks in assessments and then interviews with the firms and they run from May to July during the LLM (City offers an automatic two month extension to the dissertation deadline for winners of the internship).

This year I am out drinking more coffee in various firms to secure more internships for 2007/2008. I am also talking with a number of major corporates for example a major telecoms company, a multi-billion dollar gas company and a global public affairs firm all of whom may be able to offer internships.

The question I have for everyone on this list is how interested are you in internships which are not based in private practice law firms? I would be interested to know your views.
