Anyone's going for Queen Mary for 2010/2011 course?
I get offer for 2 courses: LLM in international commercial law and MSc in Law and Finance (as far as I know this is the new course) both provided by the school of Law
I'm quite confused now about which course to choose. Any comment please?

Lunar, I have applied - waiting for a response in Comp/Comm Law.

Both courses are good but LLM should be more focused. MSc will have more variety. For academics (teaching) or consulting, I'd suspect LLM is better. Also if you are a practicing lawyer. For career enhancement in finance/business (generally) MSc likely. Just my 2 cents.

yeah i got into the llm just waiting now from the other uni i have applied to see what they say

Actually, I am a new graduate with a bachelor degree in business Law from Asia. I did not go to work yet except for internship. Wanna start my career as a legal consultant, but I think financial knowledge is also important. What I wonder is that this is a new course, so is it really good? In fact, QM is reputed in commercial and dispute resolution

It took me nearly a month to receive my offer, when did u send ur application?

Hi everybody. My name is Hanindriyowati from Indonesia. I also got an offer of place from QMUL through e-mail. But I'm still waiting for the offer letter to arrive to my address. They say the letter will arrive within 2-3 weeks. It's been a week now :-s

However what confuses me is this:

I chose 'May' entry (Distance). I got my offer of seat on May 7 - the real letter may not get here till June. So how do I will I accept, send in official docs, and start in May? :)

Does the offer then carry on to the September start? Is it good for 1 year like most other schools.

I am studying at QMUL this academic year and I am wondering if anybody has a room on the Charterhouse Square campus as a LLM student.

I heard that most of LLM student accomodation are on Mile end campus.

By the way, does anybody plan to do the specialized LLM in Banking or Finance Law???
