Oxford BCL with LLM Already?

Hi All,

So I have an LLM from another English institution (and an undergrad law degree also...). I remember reading some years ago that it explicitly stated on the Oxford BCL website that an applicant would NOT be considered if he/she had an LLM from another English university...

However, having looked over the webpage now, I can't seem to find said stipulation. Anyone have some advise on this? Thanks!

Hi,

I assume that if you already have an LLM in the same field of specialization, then Oxford would not offer you a place. But if your intention is to specialize in a different field than what you have in your previous LLM, then you might have a chance.

Why "assume" anything?

Why not email the Faculty? What do you have to lose?
