I presume of course that you are fully versed with pages such as:

What else do you need to know?

HI,
I got accepted to Cambridge and the London School of Economics but not Oxford. I just graduated from a 4th tier law school in the US. Although my school isn't ranked high, I stood top of my class and had interesting jobs and volunteer experiences along the way. For example, I worked for a Judge and at the Attorney General's office. I also worked for a professor of mine who was updating his treatise. So basically, going to a top 20 school will help you...but as you can see, it's not everything. Good luck!

You write you "stood top of your class". Do you mean you were the best of your class (of how many?) or you were e.g. top 5% or so? Anyway, congratulations for your achievements and your admission to cantab and lse!!

Hi Chief,
I stood within the top 5% of my class. My class consisted of approximately 150 students.

"What else do you need to know?"
that page contains the sort of general guidelines that i'm trying to avoid. i was hoping to hear more first-hand stories like benny's. i understand what the schools require; i'm wondering what the schools actually accept.
btw, benny, thanks for providing your stats and other information.
