Hullo,

Could someone tell me if Oxford accepts Professional Referees in lieu of Academic Referees, especially if someone has been working for a year or longer? I didnt see an explicit mention of this in the new prospectus unlike in last year's prospectus...maybe I havent read it closely enough!

Would really appreciate a response..especially if you could point me to the exact reference in the Notes for Graduate Study or the Prospectus..

They might accept them, but I think you'd be much better off with academic referees. I'd been working for a few years when I applied, and was given strong advice to submit academic references by a professor who used to teach at Oxford.

I was really wondering if one of my three referees could be a professional with whom I have worked...

Does anybody have an opinion on how valuable a reference of a Supreme Court Judge is?
I worked for him as a legal clerk for two years. I do unfortunately not dispose of 3 acad. refer.
Please advise...
