No Response from UCL!

MEHDAD

I applied to UCL early November 2005 and recieved letter of confirmation saying that by January 02, 2007 I will have the result of my application. As of today, I have not heard back from UCL. Is this OK? Has anyone have the same situation?

Don't worry. I applied to UCL on 14-Nov and received a letter of confirmation saying that by December 26 I would received a response. I came with touch with Admissions and they told me that Faculty of Law is a very busy department...So I am still waiting...
Good Luck with your application!

I experienced the same situation when I applied. Comparate to QM and KCL universities, UCL was the last to send me an offer. I point out that QM was very fast and it replied to my e-mail.

However, UCL did not forget me and I received an offer even if it was far away from the given date (one month and half later).

I remember this annoyed me a lot but I eventually accepted the UCL's offer.

Hello. I sent my UCL application about a month ago, but havent received a letter of confirmation from them, that they have received it. Do they send it by courier, or do they e-mail? Those who have got the letter of confirmation, please do tell me if I should be following up with them right away.

i was getting really anxious as to whether ucl had received my application since all the other unis had already acknowledged receipt long before (all my application were submitted at the same time).I emailed them about a month later for a status report and I received an email from them two weeks after that and a letter in the post as well..keep the faith that yours will be there soon..but email if you can't bear it..

HI,guys
I sent my application form to UCL on Jan. 2.They received it on Jan.5 according to the mail tracking system.
I received a aknowledgement letter in post on Jan.29 confirming my application and notifying the date of releasing decision. It's Feb 26.
But I don't think I would receive the result before April.
And I am expecting they would send the decision letter in post too.

I sent my app. on the first week of December and got the acknowledgement letter (dated 13th of Dec.) on the first week of January. It said that I would receive a response by Jan 24th, but so far, I haven't.

Fortunately the people from the Admissions Office and the Law Dept. have been very kind and are always solving my enquiries. But I guess the best thing to do is to be patient...

I sent in the application mid-January and they are telling me to expect a response mid March.... based on the posts here, I am guessing I shouldn't hold my breath.

I believe you will hear by post whatever the decision.

Hi guys,
I applied via internet and got a 1st acknowledgment letter. It said that I will get a 2nd acknowledgment letter once my letters of recommendations are emailed to them. These letters have since been emailed to them but I have yet to receive a 2nd acknowledgment. Will this be through mail or email? I am worried because I have no confirmation that the letters have indeed been emailed to UCL. Any inputs?

Hi fknandrew and annmjose,
My experience with UCL has been very similar. I applied in late October and received a written acknowledgment in December expressing that a final decision was to be made by the New Year. My offer of acceptance however did not arrive until the end of February. I received no communications from the University via email. From what I have heard from other students, UCL is routinely affected by the high volume of applicants and is often late in responding to applicant inquiries. It seems however that if you continuously attempt to contact them by phone, you will be able to get through and ask your questions. Or if you have a contact name try to email/telephone that person individually.
I hope that helps. Try not to lose any hope, it seems that despite the delays, they never forget about you.
Good Luck and all the best!
