Monthly Living Costs

From the UK Border Agency stipulations, I gather the monthly living costs they state (ie 600 p/month outside of London) covers accomodation as well.

So here the question: for Edinburgh accomodation comes up to about 400 £ p/month (in fact slightly more). So would 200 suffice for remaining costs (namely, food, travel, MINIMAL entertainment, and the small things--stationary, the cup of coffee every now and then)?

Thank everyone.
Am trying to calculate my budget, while at the same time taking the UK Borber Agency stipulations into consideration.

I'm in the same situation as you are... kindda hard to budget how much you will spend. I'm thinking about 20,000 to 24,000 pound sterling for one year outside London (really don't wanna go there). These figures include tuition (overseas fees) and all other expenses. I know a guy who went to Oxford and he said that much should do the trick...
