Hello!

I have the same problem with my transcripts: I am applying online for a LLm at King's college and LSE. It is said that the "maximum filesize is 2 Mbytes" but after uploading my 16 (!!) transcripts (8 french doc with 8 translations) the over-all size is about 5 MB! What should I do? Help me pleeease!
Thanks

Hi,

I had the same problem. After checking their web site I found out that you can send your transcripts by email. I did it and all the documents I have been received by LSE (It shows in my application status).
The email is: 'Grad_Selectors (AT) lse.ac.uk'
It will show in your application status at least 5 working days after sending the email (asuming the application has been submitted).

I just summitted my application and afterwards, sent the email.

When they sent me the email, they acknowledge they received "additional supplementary certificates".

Check:
http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/graduateAdmissions/howDoI/newinformation.htm

At the end of the page they have a link to "submit an attachment"

Hello Fai,

I had the same problem.
But after compressing of the scanned bmp pictures (transcripts with translation) with picture manager prog (e.g. AcDc or Office Manager) i just inserted such new jpg files into the one word file. It helped me to fit all my transcripts into the necessary filesize.

Scan the transcripts and save them as jpegs
Then paste all of them into MS Word
Then right click on the picture and select format
Under the Picture tab - select compress to web/screen
Do this for all the pictures

Then click on Picture Tools and crop the pictures.

This should bring it down to the size limit!

Here's a solution:
1) scan the copies and save as .jpg.
2) search for free pdf convertor sites on google.
3) convert those .jpg images into.pdf one by one
4) now copy each of those .pdf and paste in one word document to form a single document containing all the transcripts.
5) now again convert this word document into .pdf using the internet convertor.
this should not take more then 30 minutes and the file size should be less than 1MB for around 10 files.
