Did anyone not send an original copy of their transcript and still recieve an unconditional offer?
My decision is still under review and I think (read "hope") that's the reason. (rather than being nailed with the Summer Course condition).
Any thoughts?

Yes, I recieved an unconditional offer, and I only scanned my transcripts. I'll have to send my transcripts if I decide to accept the offer though.

To those of you who have received offers, how long did it take for the offer letter to arrive? It's been a while (over two weeks and I live in the UK) and I'm getting a little worried...
Good luck to all that are still waiting!!
It took one week for my offer letter to arrive. It was part of a pack and sent by the second class post. I live in Oxford. Hope this helps:) PS Congrats on your offer!!

Hey,
Just wanted to put some info out there for anyone still waiting, my application went back to the Dept for consideration for 4 days and I still got an unconditonal offer.
Also, the LSE was closed for most of yesterday due to a massive power outage in central London. I assume this affected the online app system to some degree.
Was there ever any closure on the issue of the Graduate Merit Award and how you know if you got one. I got:
"On the basis of the standard of your application and academic experience to date, you are eligible to apply for one of the limited awards...."
Does anyone know if this is a yes or a confusing no??

Actually, by a quick call to the people in the Graduate Admissions office I can confirm that the above text means you DON'T qualify for a Graduate Admissions Award. :-(.

It tooks more than 8 weeks after the completion of my application and I didn't receive any information from LSE.
I don't know whether or not it is a problem. And, if there is any problem, why don't they send me a "rejected offer" asap? During this period, we are normally anxious about the results...
BTW, some people mentioned that they did not receive any information. Has this absence of information persisted? Does anyone know about the reason for such delay?
Tks,

the LSE availabilty of programme page shows that LLM overseas is 'closed' !!!!! and it is the only graduate programme that is closed!!!!
Posted Feb 16, 2007 21:01
Damn! This is unbelievable! The LSE LL.M must be the most popular masters degree in the world! I thought I'd sent my app. early (first week of December) but apparently it wasn't early enough!
Though they should really update the tacking system since I still get the "Your application is currently under consideration by the department", and I assume that there are many like me who rarely check the program availability web site.
Oh well, as they say "There's always next year".
pd.: Does anyone know how many students are accepted to this program?

To those who mentioned the absence of receiving the results from LSE,
I'd like to know if you received any information these days. My application remains "under consideration", despite the fact that the deadline of 8-weeks has expired.

Program is closed to overseas students. I gave them a call and said nobody else can be fitted into program. Maybe more slots will become available once Oxbridge UCL etc make their offers and people drop out???

Hello. its been nine weeks since my documentation for LSE was complete. My application is still under consideration. I called LSE and asked them if 'programme closed' means I will be rejected anyway, and she said no. I cant give you any further information than that your application is still under consideration!!!

hello..... can anyone give me a brief bout the accomodation costs in n around london....... jus in case i don get it in LSE... n its quite expensive too..... any suggestions??
Posted Feb 27, 2007 15:45
Hey Catty,
LSE quote that living costs might amount to approximately £13,000. I suspect that it might be slightly cheaper than that, but I hope that helps.

A word of warning - completely ignore LSE's estimation of living costs. You can live a lot cheaper than what they say you can.
