Any one out there that has taken the pre-sessional course for LLM law at the University of Southampton? (or at other universities) Wonder if its worth having. I can see from the information pages that the course will help to improve the academic writing skills, and I guess there is a difference in how you write essays etc. in the UK compare to Norway.

Any one who knows if there is a course/ lecture in how to write essays on the llm programme when you start in october, or is it something I will have to learn at the pre-sessional course?

I think most pre-sessional courses are designed to improve English language skills for foreign students. I know that at UCL - where I will be attending - some courses have a tutorial on essay writing but it depends on each individual course you take. The policy will differ at each university.
