LLM: Oxford or UCL

Dear friends,

I am unsure whether to accept an offer to study commerical law at UCL this September, or apply to Oxford for 2007. I want to become a barrister, and am aware of the prestige that the Oxford BCL seems to carry at the bar. Do you think it is worth taking a year out and applying to Oxford?

Thanks.

Assuming you are in the final year of your undergrad accept UCL wait until you see what your grades are like and then decide. If you don't have good enough results (ie a first) it's a moot point as you won't get Oxford. If you do then you can consider whether starting this year and finishing your education is important, whether there is something useful you can do in your year out and all of that sort of stuff.
