LLM International Law

arielle

Hi,
I am a Chevening Scholar from Panama. I just won the scholarship but I did not apply to any university in UK. The universities that have been recomended for an LLM in International Law are Nottingham, Warwick and Kings College. I wanted Edinburgh but due to deadlines I am afraid that is not possible. With respect to London, I would prefer not to go because is not quite the environment I am looking for, I mean London is way to expensive and crowded...Can anyone please help me and give me some input with respect to Nottingham, Warwick and any other I should be considering...

Also I am lawyer at a big firm in my country so I want a Univeristy that has great prestige and interesting postgraduates to meet...

Thanks,

hi there,
i am also a chevening alumni...

speaking of international law, cambridge itself is pretty good at it... why not consider it?

as for nottingham... i heard the law school itself is very friendly.. but you gotta be wary of the city's crime rate, etc...

Yes, well actually Cambridge and Oxford were my very first choices but I called to both universities and they informed me that the deadlines past this last january. I want to start the LLM in October so I am aware my timeline is very tight. I guess that if I knew that I was going to win the scholarship I would have applied...But anyways, do you think I can still do anything about it?

The British Council also recommended Kings College and I accepted the recomendation because London is a good choice and I feel I can´t disregard it...

After Cambridge and Oxford... what universities I should think of?

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY!!!

Hi, i'm currently waiting for my 2nd year LLb's result. My teachers tell me that , once u get your result, that will be the right time to apply if i want to do my LLm or BVC next year october. Is that right? If one wants to start in 2007 oct, u gota apply in 2006.. correct?

Can anyone advice me about what a better option is.. doing a specialist LLM or BVC exam? I will appreciate the help and guidance.. thanks ! :)

and wow, u guys got scholarships.. amazing ! u must be having first class degrees, right? WHat were your grades in your 2nd year of LLb? do tell me please..
