Hello every1,
I have an offer to do LLM Env. Law and Policy at CEPMLP - Dundee University. Has any of you done this course before? what did you think of it? Is it mainly focusing on UK/Europe Law or rather international perspective?
How does it compare to other Env. Law and Policy in the UK?
One last question folks: Dundee University offers another Env. Law course under their law school, what's the difference between this one and the one offered by CEPMLP.
Sorry for all my questions; your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
LLM Environmental Law and Policy - CEPMLP

I am a current LLM in Petroleum Law & Policy student at the University of Dundee´s CEPMLP.
The LLM in Environmental Law & Policy is a very complete program and the CEPMLP structure give you the possibility to take other courses related to the Oil & Gas business, that I think is an advantage to have a high standard Environmental Law degree and to see other issues that are related.
The Environmetal program and the other programs at the CEPMLP, are not focused to a certain geographic area, you will see a core course about the European Union Environmetal Law and Policy, but the other courses are very much international as well the students, that nowadays account for more than 50 different nationalities.

Hey!
I gonna join the LLM oil and gas law from aberdeen uni!
I do not really know the Dundee one but aberdeen is a very famous law school in the UK, very well rated in the rankings and quite cheap for the tuition fees compared with Dundee ;)
In addition, as you probably know aberdeen is the european capital of energy and the biggest oil companies are located over there. Therefore, that is pretty easier to find a job then.
I know that robert gordon also has a degree in energy but not with total focus on oil and gas.

hey!
was interested when i found out about the Energy law LLM at Dundee, but is the course only focussed on the Oil and gas sector? Is there the option of excluding these subjects from the Environmental Law programme? Is the university as reputed for the basic Env Law LLM as well?n
And between Cambridge, UCL, Kent, Nottingham and Dundee (Oxford and LSE dont offer this programme to my knowledge), what would be the best option for a comprehensive environmental law course?
Hit me back!!

AT the University of Dundee's Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), the LLM in Energy Law is not necessarily all about oil and gas. Students have to complete a three-week induction module which will cover the princples of law, economics, finance, the production of petroleum and minerals and graduate research methodology. Students also have a choice of core modules that includes Financial and Project Analysis of Natural Resources and Energy Ventures; Downstream Energy Law and Policy; International Relations and Energy and Natural Resources; and more. There is also an extensive list of elective modules to choose from. See http://www.dundee.ac.uk/cepmlp/academic/FT-LLM-Energy%20Law%20and%20Policy.php
As for the Environmental Law programme, core modules are the Induction programme; EC Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Policy; International Law of Natural Resources; and Environmental Law and Policy for Natural Resources and Energy. See http://www.dundee.ac.uk/cepmlp/academic/FT-LLM-Envir%20Law%20and%20Policy.php
