I am an international student and I have the offers from Edinburgh and Durham. Totally confused now. Just can't make up my mind which one to go for.
Any suggestions for my problem??
And here are some extra questions:
1.Is it true that I need to take IELTS agian after the pre-sessional course cos I dont meet the language proficiency requirement?
2.I have heard that things of Continent Law System are taught in class while in the library the most materials are for Ocean Law System. If it is true, then I think I will be driven mad.
Thanks a lot!!!

Anyone can tell me, regarless of the difference between commen law and continent law system, which law school is better?Durham law school or Edinburgh law school?
For an international student as I am, maybe world-wide reputaion counts for more? So confused now...
I think I do need a quick decision!
Thanks a lot.

Edinburgh is excellent if you are looking to study common law, general European or International law. The sheer volume of courses offered and research institutions located within the school make Edinburgh unique. You can tailor your LLM programme to meet precisely which topics in which you are interested within your programme and they are generally well-proportioned seminar classes instead of large lectures. Not to mention it is in the heart of the Scottish capitol, which is an excellent place to be culturally! I, too, am from abroad and did my LLM in Edinburgh years ago and have returned to do a PhD here as well due to the excellent experience I had during the LLM. The programme at Edi is very international which is important to getting the most out of your education from the point that many different views on a topic increase the understanding. Edinburgh's law library is top-notch and you can also get access to the National Library's legal catalogues as a student of the university...and it is a mere 5 minute walk from the law school. I could offer more advice if I knew what topics you are planning to study...will check back.
